Personal Writings- Spring

Spring, the season of rebirth. During winter everything freeze, becomes bleak. You begin to live in an arctic wonderland. But when spring comes around everything thaws and there is hope. From the beautiful birds teaching their young to fly and find food, to the flowers budding and blooming into elegant paintings. Laying in the warm grass, looking up at the light blue sky with silky pearly white clouds. Everything is calming and still. The sounds are just as comforting, birds chirping, bees buzzing, and the light wind blowing. Its natures wonderful music, and you could spend all day listening.

Book Review- Island of the Blue Dolphins

Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'dell. I first read this book in 4th grade and it was such a perfect read for me. It wasn't directed toward girls or boys, it had a little bit of everything for all kids. Since then I have read the book many more times and love it even more each read.
There is a sequel to the book although I cannot remember the name off the top of my head. There is also a movie and follows the book almost perfectly, although most of it is silent as there is not much dialog in the book. It was a fun book to read and I think kids with active imaginations would love it.
